HOW DOES IT WORK?
The Emsculpt NEO applicator emits synchronized RF and HIFEM+ energies into the treatment area. RF, or radiofrequency, heats the treatment area by several degrees. In 3 to 4 minutes the fat cells are heated to levels that cause apoptosis, or cell death. This permanently destroys the fat cells and allows them to be removed from the body. The treatment not only destroys the subcutaneous fat but also works to destroy the visceral (sometimes called “brown”) fat that can cause so many health problems.
HIFEM+ bypasses the nervous system and contracts the muscle fibers at levels that are impossible to achieve in a normal workout. This stress causes the muscles to have to adapt, leading to an increase in size and number of muscle fibers and cells. A single 30 min treatment on the abdomen is the equivalent of about 20,000 sit-ups.
